Giving IT Back Initiative

Our “Giving IT Back” initiative creates pathways for undergraduates and graduates, offering valuable experience in Information Technology and Urban Planning.

We are committed to nurturing the next generation of professionals in urban planning and software engineering through its tailored internship program. Designed to provide young people with invaluable hands-on experience, the program begins with a 100-hour unpaid internship over a 6 week period. This initial period allows participants to immerse themselves in real-world projects, developing essential skills and industry knowledge.

Following the unpaid phase, interns transition to a 100-hour paid internship over an additional 6 weeks, offering continued learning and professional development opportunities. We have successfully guided nearly 10 individuals through this program, equipping them with the practical experience needed to advance in their careers. The initiative reflects our dedication to fostering talent and supporting the growth of future industry leaders.

As a second-year Computer Science student at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Steve approached our CEO, Bradley Rasmussen, after his presentation to the Queensland AI Hub AI Summit’s volunteers, last year.

Sizztech is always seeking self-starters and motivated individuals like Steve from these events to join our team. Steve initially secured an internship with Sizztech, which has since transitioned into a casual software developer role, offering him flexibility as he completes his degree.

We’re thankful to have Steve on board as we witness his continual growth!
